The concept of White Collar Boxing was created in the US by Gleason’s Gym, one
of New York’s most famous boxing gyms. The gym took corporate or ‘White Collar’
workers and trained them to box, ultimately pitching them against each other in
boxing bouts. More than a decade later, White Collar is a worldwide sport with a
dedicated fan base.

The bouts are 3 rounds of two minutes each. No winner or loser is declared and
both participants receive a trophy at the end of the contest. The gloves worn are
larger and softer than normal competitive gloves and headgear has to be worn.
Registered amateur and professional boxers are not permitted in the White Collar
programme.

A decade later, White Collar is a worldwide sport and the Dubai event is now in its fifth year.
